As we rush through life this week getting ready for all of the Easter festivities of coloring eggs and elaborate Easter dinner celebrations – How much time do we take to shut out the distractions that the world throws in front of us, to appreciate God’s love and the cost that was paid for our Salvation.?
The Greatest Deception of all Mankind is “How bad is my sin?”.
We often sing a song with the line “I will never know how much it cost to see my sin upon that cross”
So many of us compare our life to others. It is very easy for any of us to find someone to measure ourselves against. All of us can easily find someone to say, “Hey I am definitely not as bad as that person”.
What makes my sin less than someone else’s sin and shortcomings?
if we want to know how bad our sin is? All we have to do is look to God who was willing to give up his only son, to the most excruciating death known to mankind, just for our sake, so that we could be forgiven. Why? So that we could spend eternity with him. How could we ever try to measure that kind of PURE LOVE?
Have you ever known such an incredible love story in the history of all mankind?
As we begin this Easter Holy Week – I would suggest that you spend many quiet thinking times, just to ponder how much it cost God, to pay the price for you, so that he could spend eternity with you – His creation.
Engage your family in the same conversations and Thinking Times.
“I WILL NEVER KNOW HOW MUCH IT COST TO SEE MY SIN UPON THAT CROSS”
