How large is our faith?
I read the Psalms almost every day. Why? Because the Psalms tell me how great God is and I personally desire to fill my heart with the truth of God, instead of the doubt, confusion and humanistic mediocrity that the world tries to confound us with and tries to sow confusion into our lives every single day.
In this humanistic centered world, everything is against the eternal truth of a great and all-powerful God. Deception, falsehood and mediocrity is the only thing that the Devil knows. Deception, falsehood and mediocrity is the essence of the devil’s eternal character, until his final day of eternal judgement and final punishment.
Satan’s desire is to take as many people to hell as possibly can take. But the most amazing thing is that Jesus wants to do the same. But Jesus wants to take as many as he can, to live with him in heaven for eternity. Jesus wants to spend eternity with you and I so much, that he died an excruciating death just for you and me, so that we could all live with him forever and ever and ever – for those who choose his radical love for each of us. This was a price that was paid for us, that we have never seen paid by any one person in the history of all mankind.
Hindsight is 20-20
As I have prayed over the decades, I have kept hundreds of journals. I have written hundreds of these pages in all kinds of journals over the years. But what is interesting, as I look back, the journals are the same journals year after year after year.
Even though the subjects, life situations and life’s circumstances have always been constantly changing – the one thing that has never changed is that God has ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS answered my prayers and most of all – he has done more for me and has answered me in ways far beyond what I could have ever asked for or even thought of.
The one scripture….
The one scripture that I have posted on my office wall and several other places at home and work is”…
Ephesians 3 Now unto him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine according to his power that is at work within us. To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations for ever and ever Amen.
I have spent decades praying. Sometimes praying through the good times and other times praying through the not so good times. BUT… the one thing that I have always learned is that after I have prayed with my limited knowledge of what I believed that God wanted to do for me – and after I shared all of my personal dreams and visions with God – he always answers me far above and beyond my own dreams and visions, in ways that I could have ever asked, dreamed or even imagined.
When I limit God to what only I can think, dream or imagine? Then I have already limited God and I sidelined my expectation from him. When I have limited his word, I once again have already limited his blessing to me and everyone that he wants to bless through me..
We are the only ones that can judge for ourselves as to where our individual faith stands and only each of us know ourselves and how easily we can be swayed and swooned into accepting mediocrity and compromise for the humanistic devils plan for our lives. .
My Prayer for You.
God I pray that you might increase everyone’s expectation of you so that you might be able to do immeasurably more than we ask or even imagine. I refuse the devil’s tactics to attempt to decrease my faith and to sow doubt and mediocrity into my daily life. I refuse to accept the lies of the devil to attempt to diminish the power of our almighty God and how much he wants to bless us everyday. And I look to him to do far beyond what I can dream or even imagine.
Teach me to let my faith grow accordingly to your word and according to your loving desires for all of us.
Let your faith be renewed according to your word and according to your desires
